Nicole is a graduate of Florida Southern College and was a middle school teacher in Polk County, Florida before feeling called to vocational ministry.

After graduating with a dual degree Master of Divinity and Master of Practical Theology from Columbia Theological Seminary, she was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in her hometown at First Presbyterian Church of Arcadia, FL.

Nicole and her husband Bjorn are now thrilled to be part of the Dalton community and look forward to watching their two elementary-aged children grow up in this beautiful town.

Hye Jeong Kwon 10.18.23
Hye Jeong, a native of South Korea, brings not only a strong educational background in voice, piano and conducting; but also an impressive resume of leadership experience in music. Her mission, “Love God and Love People,” blends nicely with our church’s mission: “Love First, Love All.”

In addition to a bachelor’s degree in music performance from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, she earned a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at Georgia State University. At Georgia State, she was awarded a Graduate Assistantship and served as an associate conductor of the GSU Master Singers. During that time, she also served as a music intern at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta conducting and rehearsing the orchestra, chancel choir and bell choir, as well as providing accompaniment for Wednesday and Sunday services.

She has been a member of the J. W. Summer Festival Chorale, the semi-professional choir in Seoul, South Korea, and was a music intern with the Seoul Metropolitan Children’s Choir.

She lives in Dalton with her husband, Daniel, and enjoys cooking Korean foods.

Erin is a Dalton native who graduated from the State University of West Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Finance.

After 11 years in the banking profession, she decided to take a few years off to be at home with her 2 sons, and then discovered she missed working.

If she’s not volunteering at the children’s school or at the ball field, Erin enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and kayaking.

Session

Our church is led by leaders elected from the congregation. We call them elders. They do everything from planning social events, to service projects, to teaching classes, to paying the power bill.
